NEW ACADEMIC AGREEMENT WITH THE NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF THE ALTIPLANO, OF PUNO, PERU

The Miguel Hernández University of Elche (UMH) has signed a framework agreement with the National University of the Altiplano (UNA), located in Puno, Peru. This agreement will enable rolling out research projects between both institutions in addition to permitting mobility of personnel and students alike.

This agreement is part of the internationalization strategy at the School of Engineering of Elche (EPSE), especially in south Peru. The international relationship with the UNA began in early 2019 with a stay there by the EPSE Deputy Director of Business Relations, Ernesto Ávila, and by Mónica Candela, a technician in the Service of International Relations, Development Cooperation and Volunteerism.

Following the agreement signing, the UMH is preparing to welcome visits by two groups of UNA faculty in upcoming weeks, who will tour EPSE facilities and laboratories while they are in Elche. This event will also contribute to improve relationships with other similar research groups in order to better future joint collaboration and research efforts.
