UMH signs important agreement with Beijing Wuzi University
The Miguel Hernández University of Elche (UMH) has signed an important agreement with Beijing Wuzi University, which marks the culmination of joint efforts by both institutions over one year. This agreement strengthens links and commits each other to become strategic partners in academic collaboration and to create exchange networks.
Participants in the signing ceremony included Vice Rector for International Relations, Vicente Micol, who, along with Deputy Vice Rector for International Relations – International Projection, José Luis González, represented the UMH. On behalf of Wuzi University, signatories included its vice president, He Ming Ke, who signed the agreement live, along with Han Xing, its Director of the Department of International Relations and Dean of the International School; on behalf of Wuzi academics, Lv Yi Han also intervened.
As part of the signing ceremony, Vice President He Ming Ke gave a presentation wherein he highlighted Wuzi University’s status as a very significant institution in Beijing that is making tremendous strides in its internationalization, and how Wuzi feels that it has a fine partner in the UMH to collaborate with academically and for achieving its internationalization goals. For his part, Vicente Micol, presented the Elche university, and he stressed the privileged location wherein the UMH is located, centrally in the Mediterranean corridor with favorable connections to facilitate entrepreneurship, business development, and the strong commitment made by the UMH for closer ties with China.
Jose Luis González expressed his gratitude for the participation and dedication by Inmaculada Blaya, Director of the Service of International Relations, Development Cooperation and Volunteerism; to Rafael Doménech, UMH Associate Dean of Coordination and Mobility; and to José Mª Gómez Gras, UMH Master’s in Business Administration and Management Program Coordinator. González also thanked the Tía Tula association for mediating and lending support, as well as Nieves Villaseca and Wang Xu, who assisted as moderators.
Beijing Wuzi University of China specializes in business, marketing, logistics, and international commerce, and it is recognized as one of China’s top universities, as per the Best Chinese Universities Ranking. Both universities have points in common, as they are dynamic institutions with an innovative and entrepreneurial spirit, both strive to provide excellent educations, and they both feel that fruitful synergies will arise out of this agreement.
