UMH welcomes Andrés Bello University for future joint activities
On September 25, 2024, Vice Rector for Internationalization and Cooperation at the Miguel Hernández University of Elche (UMH), Vicente Micol, along with Deputy Vice Rector for Internationalization, Alberto Rodríguez, and Director of the Service of International Relations, Development Cooperation and Volunteerism, Inmaculada Blay, welcomed a delegation from Andrés Bello University (Chile). The Chilean group was comprised of Director General of International Relations, Issa Kort, and Director of International Connections, Fabiola Novoa.
Their meeting took place in Rectorado & Consejo Social Hall at the UMH, and the topics of discussion addressed possible future collaboration between the higher education institutions, such as joint training endeavors, student exchanges, and collaboration in mobility for investigative personnel. Mr. Kort highlighted the interest by the Chilean university in the UMH partly due to the strategic location of the Spanish institution as well as the appeal of the UMH for Chilean students due to the ease in funding their stays in Spain.
This visit was part of a tour the Andrés Bello University delegation is undergoing these weeks around Spain in search of new partners. Both institutional representatives have earmarked dates for future negotiations, with the aim of reaching mutually beneficial agreements.
