UMH participation in this call is part of the Elche institution’s internationalization strategy in the Dominican Republic by way of various actions that have taken place in recent months. Standing out among these initiatives is the agreement to establish collaboration between the MESCyT, Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD), and the UMH in the Doctorate of Agri-Food Sciences offered by the Faculty of Agronomic and Veterinary Sciences at the UASD.
Furthermore, UMH Vice Rector for International Relations, Vicente Micol, and the director of the Ibero-America Espejo Program, Joaquín Julián Pastor, have met with representatives from public and private universities to consolidate academic and training links. These universities include the Universidad Dominicana O&M, Universidad Federico Henríquez y Carvajal (UFHEC), Universidad Eugenio María de Hostos (UNIREMHOS), Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM), and the Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña (UNPHU).
