Visiting student
4 December 2024
These regulations address the situation of visiting student who wish to take any course/s and/or carry out a training/internship period at the UMH outside official university exchange mobility programs, accords, or agreements.
Visiting students may choose courses that they desire from the official UMH courses offered, but the number of enrolled credits may not exceed 30 per semester or 60 per academic year. For training/internships, the student must complete between 25 and 40 hours per week, wherein 25 hours are equivalent to one credit, distributed in stays lasting between a minimum of one month and a maximum of six months.
Upon successful completion of the stay period, the visiting student shall receive certification listing the courses taken, the training/internship, the number of credits, the grades earned, and the period in which the activities occurred.
Once enrolled, visiting student may utilize UMH installations and services in addition to the corresponding accreditation as such. Completing these types of stays does not entitle conferral of a UMH degree; however, the students may request recognition for or transfer of credits should they subsequently enroll in an official UMH degree program.
