UMH International Development Cooperation Volunteer Program 

*This program is part of the line of research from the Development Cooperation Program that the UMH signs annually with the Generalitat Valenciana regional government through the Generalitat Directorate of International Development Cooperation at the Ministry of Participation, Transparency, Cooperation and Democratic Quality.

(April 28, 2022): The call for places to participate in the Miguel Hernández University of Elche (UMH) Volunteer Program on International Development Cooperation for summer 2022 has been published in the BOUMH, the Official UMH Gazette.

The period for submitting applications is now open and will remain so through May 12, 2022.

The program consists of various activities:

• Participation in the International Development Cooperation Campus (June 24-26, 2022) which is a retreat with experts on development cooperation and associations, such as Solidaridad Internacional del País Valencia (SIPV).
• Involvement by participants in developmental non-governmental organization volunteering projects during one month (July or September).
• Specific training at the UMH during one month (July or September, 2 or 3 afternoons per week).

Participation in this program is highly valued towards consideration for subsequent participation in the next call for the UMH International Development Cooperation Volunteer Program in Rwanda. The intention is for the Rwanda program to start up again in 2023 (if health conditions so permit).
