Close to 200 Students from Mexico Interested in Studying at UMH

The Miguel Hernández University of Elche (UMH) was a participant in the Virtual Fair of Mexico, which was organized by FPP EDU Media. During the event, close to 200 students from Mexico visited the UMH virtual stand and were attended to by the university team comprised of representatives from the vice rectorates for International Relations and Student Affairs & Coordination, in addition to the UMH Foundation.

The stand visitors, whose average age was 23, requested information about the academics offered by this institution. Among the visitors, 42% were interested in starting undergraduate and master’s programs here, 40% were so about English courses and certification exams offered by the UMH Language Center, and 32% asked about short courses.

The UMH team coordinating the event consisted of Agustín Mingorance, from the Service of Communication; the director of Training and Communication at the UMH Foundation, Ana Esclapez; UMH psychology graduate and participant in the MIREUMH program, María Sempere; and journalists, Eva Pardo and Vanesa Godoy, both from the Service of International Relations.

The Virtual Fair of Mexico was the first event of its kind in which the UMH was a participant this year; however, in September 2020, the university also attended the Virtual Study in Spain Fair – Latin America, and this institution is scheduled to participate in other international fairs in the near future.
