UMH attends NAFSA Conference in the United States to promote its internationalization

The Miguel Hernández University of Elche (UMH) is participating as an exhibitor at the largest international academic event of North America, the 2023 NAFSA Annual Conference & Expo, held in Washington, DC, from May 30 – June 2. During the week of the event, meetings have been held with 41 universities from 15 American, Chinese, and European countries. The UMH is exploring new forms of collaboration with universities with which agreements have already been reached (these represent 17 of the aforementioned universities), and is seeking common ground and agreements, plus forms of collaboration, with the remainder. The UMH aim is to welcome students and faculty at the UMH, as well as afford opportunities for UMH students to undergo study exchanges and for UMH faculty and staff to both teach at other institutions and to collaborate with their counterparts.

Paul Nordstrom, a technician from the Service of International Relations, Development Cooperation and Volunteerism, is attending NAFSA to present the academic and training offer of the UMH and to enhance relationships with other universities to advance UMH internationalization. The participation of the UMH is backed with support from the Provincial Tourism Board at the Diputación of Alicante. This collaboration is promoting the cultural and leisure opportunities of the Province of Alicante, converting the UMH into a fine geographic destination for learning and for immersing in Mediterranean culture.
